3. There are those who strongly prefer the Stranglers' early stuff and do not like Aural Sculpture or Dreamtime. Please include me amongst those who do not like the early stuff [which dominates "The Very Best of" CD] and much prefer this album and Dreamtime. Update I purchased the remastered edition of Aural Sculpture/5(68).

6. Aural Sculpture was a hugely underrated album by a group whom many unrightfully thought were only relevant in the '70s. Despite the somewhat pretentious title, the songs on this album are strong pop compositions. It would seem the often heavy-handed Stranglers went into the studio and decided to have some fun, as evinced in "Mad Hatter" and "Punch & Judy".
