4. I first bought this on vinyl in its year of release () just after I finished at university. I subsequently bought a number of other Chieftains albums, but still reckon that this one presents the best mix of great Celtic music. Having recently re-discovered the vinyl, I thought it 5/5(15).

7. The Chieftains are a Grammy winning Irish musical group founded in (Dublin, Ireland), known for performing and popularizing Irish traditional music. The band has recorded many albums of instrumental Irish folk music, as well as multiple collaborations with popular musicians of many genres, including Country music, Galician traditional music, Cape Breton and Newfoundland music, and rock.

8. Cover Variation: Similar to The Chieftains - Live! except front left bottom cover has "ceirnini cladagh" printed. Oddly, this was issued by CBS in the UK & USA first in and only issued in Ireland by Claddagh in The rear of sleeve on the Claddagh issue has the CBS catalogue number obliterated in the artwork in order to print the Claddagh catalogue number on top.
