  4. After ignoring Alice's work for 25 years, I picked up Brutal Planet after reading some reviews. WOW - it's a career-defining work for Alice's solo career as much as Killer was for the Alice Cooper Group. Not for the faint of heart, Brutal Planet hits you like a sledgehammer from start to finish and that's a good thing/5(85).

Up until Paranormal, Cooper's album, coming out six years after Welcome 2 My Nightmare, the gap between The Last Temptation and Brutal Planet was his longest gap in output, and without the baggage of his alcohol problems that he thankfully left behind just in time for his comeback period in the mids, it's hard to imagine why he waited so long to create another album.

  7. The last Alice Cooper album I bought was "Goes to Hell" in I still listen to "Billion Dollar Babies" and "Killer" regularly though, but it never occurred to me to check out new Alice. So in I picked up "Brutal Planet". I'm glad I did. This is a terrific album. I don't think there are any clunkers on the disc and there are some true /5().
